can so relate to the pop in the freezer issue as my husband admitted to getting a pop from the shelf in the garage which exploded all over the floor/walls and he didn't bother to clean any of it up! I did clean up what was on the floor so we wouldn't track through it, but I've since noticed that it got all over the door/walls/items hanging, so will now have to hose it all down! So we now have a major cleanup project that I hadn't planned on doing! The one catch is that we have no open weekends coming up to get the job done, so it will be a constant reminder of the issue! AARRRGGGHHH!

See, I like the student led conferences. I know what my kid does well and what he doesn't. His teacher knows that too. For my son to sit down and realize those things about himself is completely different. I can tell him that his handwriting is awful and his teacher can tell him that he needs to be neater but if he doesn't figure that out himself he'll never change. Just my .02! I can email the teacher about the nose picking! :)

my father-in-law has this same problem and i wanted to pass this tip along because i have never heard of such a thing, but he chews gummy bears and it really does help stop the sneezing. so they buy gummies in 5 pound bags at sams club so they are always around!

What a great story!
I have an identical twin, and yes, we were just like that a few years ago. Competitive, best friends, sisters. Of course we are still the best of friends, natually!, but definetly not competitive.
We are both in school to be engineers, the same field of course!:), and I think that sucked any competiviness right down the drain... It's enough to pass some of these tests!!
Have a great day and keep up the posts! I love your special needs feet article! I have a similar problem...

That's sweet Cindy. And nice photo of you at the bottom. My dad used to give Farm tours for the new kindergarten students in Flushing every year, and when MY turn came, we had a great adventure! Hay ride, tour of the farm, the chance to milk a cow (and have my dad squirt a unsuspecting classmate with milk from an udder), and me being a hero to all my new classmates for a week or so! Memories. I can still hear one of my friends say, way back in 1976, "Wow, your house is HUGE!!!"

I love that you experienced the assault on the senses that is the traffic, noise and sea of humanity that is New York! And I'm glad you jogged around the park, and saw all the little neighborhoods that line the streets there, every one full of kids and families who call the big city home. And NYC will always surprise and amaze the country dweller on their first visit. That is why its a must-see for any American. Hawaii is too, but for other reasons (hee).
